Sports and stuffs...

Today, I skipped church and went for the NUS Triathlon.

And it sure feels bad, skipping church so often to pursue seemingly meaningless interests. (that is, if you, like me, deem FUN as meaningless)

But anyway, i went for it and yeah! i've completed yet another half tri. wow. ha ha.
Ok, i shall stop being sarcastic.

You always wonder and question why things are so different from person to person when you put yourself in a position to compare woth others. Sports, studies, there are always people who excel and people who don't. Some just deserve credit for even trying. Absolute results, personal goals, making an improvement, just completing it for the expereince. etc etc, are just some reasons why people put in effort to do things. i ponder the purpose at times, but heck, i do it anyway, cos I CAN. haha. it seems to be a reminder that i am able bodied, and that God has been kind to me.

Back to National Day, i actually took my bike out for a real ride today, and it happened to be the first tiem i encountered the blistering pace of the Thomson group. Well, as expected, i was still dropped, but i knew i had tried, and it was an experience, an eye-opener. On Saturday, tested my runners legs in an 18 km time trial and it was suprisingly good! A shadow of the old form has returned. And Sun was the NUS Tri, which i completed with slight fatigue, possible from the previous day.

Oh well. Seems like i'm busy over nothing actually. In school, i still have not joined a single CCA!
